The LCS Sports Camps internship program is primarily for children who have attended sports camps. We take in interns each October to give us time to train and gain experience in advance of the following Summer camp.

Places on the scheme are on an invitational basis only and it should not be assumed if your child has attended a sports camp they will automatically be entitled to become an intern.

Children who have been identified as potential interns will be invited into the mentor program to help and support team members settle in new children to camp. Mentors will be expected to set a set a high standard in their behaviour, attitude and in the way they interact with sports camp participants and the team.

Interns are expected to commit to a number of camps, training workshops and to assist at other events organised by LCS. The must also be able to maintain a level 6 on the 20m beep test and have started Year 8 at secondary school.

In return interns receive

- Basic expenses

- Uniform

- Training and Development within sports camps to deliver and officiate a range of different sporting activities

- Experience of working within a sports camp environment and working with children

Invitations are send out approximately 18 months before a child is expected to start
